Custom CNC plates required to build this sim rig
- This design uses a number of custom plates, so you need the CNC files if you want to cut the plates locally.
- We provide CNC files in DWG & DXF format
-
The CNC files, allow you to use your local laser or water jet cutting service, so you can have the files cut locally saving you shipping costs. Note you are only licensed to cut one set of plates for personal use.
Water jet cutting, produces a nice clean edge with a finish like medium grade sand paper, laser cutting can be more cost effective because it faster and produces a near mirror edge finish on steel or aluminium.
I suggest cutting the plates from 3mm (1/8") aluminium or low carbon steel, the monitor support arms should be cut from 6mm or 9mm.
STEP 1 - Ordering
OSR will send you the digital plans normally within 24 hours. The digital plans are released using google drive, this process is 100% manual, so a little patience is sometimes required :-). It helps the process if you have a gmail account, but this is not essential.
Choose the Plans option and decide if you want to purchase the standard hardware from OSR of another aluminum supplier.
OSR will send you the digital version of the plans right away and an 8020.net shopping list to complete the project. Shopping list items include:
- 15 OR 40 Series Aluminum Extrusion
